I was talking to my MOTHER this morning an she told me who won the world series. My mother is not a big sports fan – but clearly she is more plugged into the real world than I am.

I hate baseball.
And yet, since my husband likes it, watches it whenever he can, and talks about it incessantly, I’ll actually get into conversations with people about it at work. I’ll get out the first few sentences (Are you watching the series? It’s the first time the Rockies have been to the playoffs, you know) and then have to stop and remember I hate it and have no interest in talking about it.
It’s like a song that gets stuck in your head and you notice yourself singing it all of a sudden.
