epic snowstorm
Apparently the seat of the national government is snowed in and everone is trapped in their houses.
I predict that with government officials unable to govern and convene press conferences, nationwide the economy will be stable and mass layoffs will be put on hold.
…at least until the plows get out there and let the politicians and bureaucrats back into their offices.

Well, it’s also the weekend, and we usually take time off on Sat and Sun from our general pastimes of roasting small children and sabotaging the economy.
There is an impressive amount of snow, and here in Other Arlington the authorities have told us we won’t get plowed out for 48 hours. dave.s.

It be nice if one of you former military folks could convince NORAD that the best way to clear the streets of the greater DC area is with a few thermonuclear devices.

Wow, you really got clobbered with snow. Here in southern Ontario we’ve barely got enough to cover 75% of the grass – normally the snow’s piled 6′ high along the driveway this time of year. Go Global Warming!
Hopefully Al Gore won’t come to visit us…

First he needs to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients he has that might be extracted for our personal use.
Whoa. I gotta get rid of those old Ross Perot pamphlets….
