    Yep. A sawzall blade was defective and lept out of the sawzall and did a backwards somesault OVER the tool and into my glasses. I saw it coming and blinked (at least that’s my perception; I wouldn’t be amazed to find out that the memory was synthesized after the fact). The blade hit the front of the lens and popped out a shatter cone of spall on the side facing me (like a HESH round), but my eye was closed.

    It got my attention.

    Your comment is made even more amusing by the fact that I’ve got 20 open tabs in Firefox, and one of them is the wikipedia page for … wait for it… Chobham armor.

    Until I read it last night I always assumed that it was named after a person, not after the location of a British tank research center….
