Note that receipt is from March… it’s a whole lot worse now.

Zimbabwe, and Mugabe especially, are fascinating in a train-wreck sort of way. The level of absurdity has gone beyond anything I thought could exist outside of fiction.

People are starting to collect the ludicrously high denominations of some Zimbabwean bills – who wouldn’t like a 50 million dollar bill? :)

I’ve got an old Weimar-era 5 million mark bill floating around my house somewhere. I think a 100 billion dollar Zimbabwean bill would be a nice complement.

There’s a couple of 100 billion dollar notes on Ebay right now, some as low as 9 bucks.
